Water Ballet

Dancers!

I've tenatively scheduled our trip to the pool for water ballet on Friday, March 7. We will work on our water ballet exercises in the studio before we go. I am proposing we go as a group, but you can go on your own if you wish. Please leave me a comment if you are good to go. Please email me directly if you have a concern at lgervais@u.washington.edu. Should be lots of fun!

But first! Do all students have access to the IMA with their student ID cards?

IMA Eligibility:
Registered matriculated UW students who pay the Services and Activities Fees may use the IMA upon presentation of their current Husky ID Card.

I am excited for ballet in the water. Balancing will be soooo much easier. Battements/tendus/etc will be much harder, but it will help me find better, more efficient methods for performing such exercises.

I was definitely holding my breathe along with the video! So crazy! I hope we won't be doing things submerged in the water :)

I am good to go! I think i will enjoy a lot because is so different from dance ballet in class compare to dance ballet in the pool. I am excited and looking forward to do the dance ballet in the pool.

I am excited to go! I have a membership and have strong competitive swimming background. I am eager to learn how to incorporate my dancing into the pool. I use the pool as strength conditioning and aerobic conditioning it will be nice to have specific exercises that will translate directly into Ballet class.
